Mike Lapointe

I am currently in the graduate journalism program at Carleton University in Ottawa. My journalistic interests include political-economic issues, democracy, Canadian business, and international markets. I am specifically interested in North American politics and business. In the last two-years as a political columnist, blogger, radio journalist, and student, I've had the opportunity to interview dozens of politicians, academics, government officials, and political activists. My most recent coverage includes the Republican presidential nomination process, Florida state politics, federal politics in Canada, and the Canadian energy sector. I attained a Master’s Degree in Comparative Political Science from the University of Western Ontario in 2010.
