Woodpeckers Blamed For The Demise Of The Once Highest Flagpole In The World

The once tallest flagpole in the world, The Kew Flagpole, in Kew, south west London, is to be taken down as it has become unsafe for flag flying. The wooden structure was in the Guiness Book of Records in 1959, when it measured 225 feet.

280 ATM Machines Blown Up Around South Africa In Just Seven Months

Between January 1 and July 31 2007, 280 ATM machines have been blown up around the country. The damage caused, totals R62.4 million excluding the money stolen. The evidence emerged in a magistrates court, when two alleged bombers applied for bail.

A sixty seven year old man, committed suicide by shooting himself, but not before he had shot and killed his fifty five year old girlfriend and her two grandchildren, aged 6 months and two years.
