D. Sidney Potter, writer of The Flip, a real estate docu-fiction that chronicles the boom and bust odyssey of a real estate investor over the last decade, is based in Pasadena, CA. He is someone who ate, slept and breathed real estate flipping in its incipience, dating back to 2002 and ending in 2007. He was there when it all started, at ground zero, beginning in Riverside, CA – which posted some of the highest appreciation rates in the U.S. Quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and several other major metropolitan newspapers, Mr. Potter bought just under 50 new tract homes for $17,000,000+ in a five year period.
Mr. Potter has worked in the real estate and mortgage industry since 1992 and is a licensed member of the National Association of Home Builders, and the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Potter has a BA in Political Science, 2 MBA's and part of a doctorate degree from Pepperdine. He has extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate in California, Nevada, and Arizona and has consulted investors and the media throughout the United States. Most recently he served on the Board of Directors for two major HOA's in Las Vegas.
