Actor Clint Eastwood was a surprise speaker at the closing night of the RNC convention Thursday night. Convention speakers are often dull but Eastwood, like that monkey in 'Every Which Way But Loose,' was both zany and unpredictable.

Florida officials, along with emergency experts, held a hurricane practice drill Wednesday in the event of a major hurricane hitting the Tampa Bay area during the Republican National Convention this summer.
The peaceful tone the RNC Convention turned into on day one inside of the Xcel Center in Minnesota apparently did not reach outside. The Minneapolis police used physical force to subdue what they called violent protesters and at least three journalists.
