The NY Knicks are a mess and with the NBA trade deadline just a few weeks off, changes could be coming. And if reports are correct, nobody on the roster is safe.
Carmelo Anthony is in the final year of his contract and not likely to return. Tyson Chandler is suddenly a disgruntled big man and the team has had inconsistent play all year from its point guards.
Yahoo Sports has suggested the front office gets on the phone and make a move for Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The young star is a terrific talent and a player the team can rebuild around and while it would cost them Chandler and possibly draft picks, it's a move that could reshape the famed franchise and give the fans some optimism heading into the future.
Bleacher Report has also suggested New York could make some moves in the coming weeks and Chandler is high on the list of players that could be dealt.
While fans of the Thunder might not like the move, the team has played extremely well while Westbrook recovers from surgery and adding a legitimate NBA center could make Oklahoma City the best team in the league and force for several years to come.
