After his spectacular victory over Nikolai Valuev, the Briton David Haye, the newly crowned WBA heavyweight champion of the world is set to meet John Ruiz, a former 2-time heavyweight world champion in a mandatory title defence bout next year.

David Haye just defeated Nikolai Valuev in Germany for the WBA Heavyweight Champion Belt. The judges scored the fight 114 to 114 and 116 to 112 and 116 to 112.

This Saturday, Nov.7, the 7”2 Russian Nikolai Valuev, and the 6′ 3″ Briton heavyweight contender David Haye, are set to meet for the WBA heavyweight championship of the world at Arena Nürnberger Versicherung in Nümberg, Germany.
