Military explosives experts from CFB Esquimalt will defuse two mortar shells found near a Burnaby Secondary School, RCMP said. The army team will arrive Thursday morning. The origin of the shells remains unclear.

An 80-year-old woman who had a stroke and collapsed after leaving a bingo hall in Burnaby, B.C. has been robbed. The money disappeared from the time she left the bingo hall to the time she arrived at the hospital.
