Op-Ed: IMDb present Hitler as a writer and star with miscellaneous crew

As Yanir Dekel from Abbanibi.com commented on his blog after clicking through IMDb (Internet Movie Data Base): It’s strange to see Hitler’s “filmography” and credits including writer for 5 titles (the last of them, is a 1994 adaptation of ‘Mein Kampf’ for a TV movie), and he also appears as “Self” in 25 titles, including 1945’s ‘Tonight and Every Night’ in which he appeared to have contributed his voice. You know, like in a Disney movie. On Hitler's personal page under the heading “Miscellaneous crew” one title is listed – Triumph of the Will commissioned by him as Der Fuhrer. Abbanibi contacted IMDb to query them about Hitler’s page but until now they haven’t responded. Hitler isn’t the only personality from the Nazi regime to be listed on IMDb. Rudolf Hess is a described as a writer, appears as ‘himself’ in eleven films and has the birth sign Taurus. In ‘Trivia’ about Adolf Eichmann it is noted he was the "Chief of Transportation for the Final Solution". This apparently insignificant piece of information is not as important as his filmography or his height, listed as 5' 9¼" (1.76 m). On Josef Mengele’s trivia list IMDb have noted: • Nazi Doctor infamous for his experiments on concentration camp inmates. • He decided which inmates would be sent to the gas chamber on arrival. • Was particularly interested in identical twins. Incidentally, Megele was a Pisces.
