Man arrested over French student murders

Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferz, both 23, were found murdered in their home with 243 stab wounds and their bodies were set on fire. Both French students pursuing their Master's degree in Bio-Chemistry were just one month away from finishing their research work at the Imperial College.

Police got a break in this unsolved case, when they arrested a 21-year-old man and is currently held at south-east London.

Detectives have found some missing items belonging to the French students with this person

Further investigation will reveal whether he or his partners were involved in this brutal crime.

The parents of the two men are believed to have returned to France after identifying the bodies according to the Police.

In France, organizers are planning a silent march next Monday in memory of the two students at the Polytech Clermont-Ferrard, the university where the two victims attended last.

The director of the university, Claude-Gilles Dussap, said in a statement:

"Like all the staff and students at the school, I was deeply shocked to learn of their deaths... in particularly tragic circumstances…Our thoughts first and foremost go to their families and those close to them…The entire Clermontaise university community associates itself with their immense pain."
