The Fundamentals of Sexsomnia

Imagine innocently laying next to your partner and falling asleep only to be woken up by your partner pulling down your undies and grinding up against you. They seem asleep, but maybe they are just playing so you play along. When you wake up in the morning to reminisce about a night of some great wonderful passionate sex, your partner does not remember a thing.

This nocturnal romp by a decidedly asleep individual is a condition called Sexsomnia. Sexsomniacs are misunderstood as sleep sex is not an overly fondled subject in the scientific field.

Yvonne K. Fulbright, a Fox News "sexspert," reports:
There are at least 11 different sex-related sleep disorders that are classified as “sexsomnia,” “sleep sex,” or “atypical sexual behavior during sleep.” People with sexsomnia unknowingly engage in a variety of sexual activities while they sleep. Reported behaviors include fondling, masturbation, initiating sex with a partner, sexual vocalizations, sexual assault and/or rape (including of one’s spouse), sleep exacerbation of persistent sexual arousal syndrome, ictal sexual hyperarousal and ictal orgasm. (“Ictal” is a physiological state like that of a seizure or stroke.)

The symptoms range from slightly kinky to extremely dangerous and can sometimes even lead to legal troubles. Recently the Canadian Supreme Court had to hear a case about a rape where the accused suffered from sexsomnia. The 35-year old Toronto resident had fallen asleep next to a woman after a night of heavy drinking, and attempted to have sex with her during a bout of sexsomnia. The court ruled in the man's favor for "non-insane automatism." However, this has not stopped other women, including wives of those with sexsomnia, from accusing their partner of rape.

Men are not the only people subject to sexsomina; sometimes they are the victims of a randy woman. One man had to suffer accusations from his wife that he was forcing himself on her at night. However, the man was responding to her naughty nasty whispers of the night, and everyone knows men like a bit of dirty pillow talk.

Although sexsomnia can seem slightly amusing, it can take a nasty turn if one is aggressive like a succubi or inccubi. People have been known to wake up with bruises and lacerations from a rough jaunt, or a bruised penis, broken fingers, and a feeling of being nothing but a piece of pounded meat. "Both parties report feelings of bewilderment, embarrassment, shame, guilt, despair, shock, denial, annoyance, confusion, worry and fear."

Sexsomnia can leave the sufferer with feelings of sexual abandonment, lack of intimacy, and other repulsions to sexual conduct. However, some partners have been quite satisfied with their partners nocturnal behavior. Some report more fulfilling sex, kinkier, or more satisfying sex, even more gentle relations with their partner being more attentive.

Some jokes from sexsomniacs have been quit amusing like "I am so good at this shit I can do it in my sleep."

I can attest It's true, my current pregnancy is due to a sexsomnia episode, and no he didn't remember.
