ATLANTA, GA, September 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Atlanta Rap Rocker, A.Tone Da Priest, is back with his second full length LP, The Fi King, set for release on September 11th, 2012 for digital download on iTunes. The lead single off the album "Not Waiting," released the month prior has already picked up steam for its controversial video unapologetically lambasting the entertainment industry with a metallic hip hop anthem with the message of anti-ignorance.
Unlike his two 2011 albums, The Address EP and Stand By My Words, The Fi King's production is handled almost exclusively by A.Tone himself which creates the tone for a much more personal record than his previous efforts.
With 18 riveting tracks (19 including one hidden), the album dabbles into several genres, creating an unusual yet sustaining texture for a hip hop record, at a time when the majority within the genre tend to stick unwittingly to a format.
Mixing elements of Rock in Opposition, punk rock, jazz, heavy metal and progressive rock among others seamlessly with cool and thought provoking rhymes and choruses, A.Tone creates a sonic quality which to some may seem experimental, overall telling an enthralling story with many lessons to be learned.
The themes of the album revolve around A.Tone's alter ego, The Fi King, which is used in cinematic fashion to explore the benefits and consequences of living with such great amounts of power at your disposal as a leader but more importantly, a naturally flawed human being.
Journalist and former free-lancer for All Music Guide, GW Hill, gave the album an astounding 4.5 out of 5 stars stating, "Some of the music on this set tends to be a bit abrasive... leaning towards more experimental music. There's plenty to like here... for fans of hip hop and those who like music that's adventurous."
