Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that partner John Walker has been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Collegiate School. His term commenced July 1, 2012.
Mr. Walker was first elected to the Board in 2008 and has served on the Finance, Development, Global Education and Private School/Public Purpose Committees of the Board. He is also involved with numerous other civic and community organizations and is chairman of the Williams Mullen Foundation, which donates to organizations in the communities the firm serves. Earlier this year, Mr. Walker was also elected to serve as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Virginia Bar Association, which puts him in line to be VBA President in 2014.
Collegiate School is a co-educational, private school with approximately 1575 students from Kindergarten through high school. The Collegiate Board of Trustees consists of approximately 30 business leaders and community volunteers.
