OTTAWA, Nov. 17, 2011 /CNW/ - November 23 is the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims in Canada- a chance for all of us to reflect, learn more about safer driving habits and ways we can reduce the risk factors such as alcohol, drugs, speeding, cell phone use, texting, fatigue and failure to buckle up.

Transport Canada has arranged for six family members of road crash victims to be available to speak to the media about their lost ones. Members of those families will share compelling testimonies about the impacts on their life of road accidents, many of which are often avoidable.

If you are interested in conducting an interview with members of the families, please contact Transport Canada media relations. We will assist you in getting in touch with the families.
