Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason is one of the founding members of the rock group Traffic. He kicks off his "Dave Mason's Traffic Jam" tour on January 3 in Atlantic City.
On January 10, he will play at The Paramount in Huntington, New York, and the show dates will continue throughout the rest of the year. More details about that Long Island show can be obtained by clicking here.
A veteran singer, songwriter and guitarist, Mason has toured and recorded regularly since he co-founded Traffic in 1966. He also had success as a solo artist and he shared the stage with such musical acts as Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Graham Nash, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac, among many others.
This tour is going to feature his hits and album cuts from Traffic 1967 debut album Mr. Fantasy, as well as their sophomore self-titled CD. It will include new material and classic Dave Mason music.
In the new year, 2014, Mason will release a brand new EP, Futures Past, which will feature new versions of his classic songs, as well as new tunes that he has written and performed while out on the road over the last few years.
