excerpt:
While the prevailing perception of electric cars is a cramped slug best suited for commuter use, Nissan has a working prototype that will blow those ideas away. On the test track, it accelerated with enthusiasm and had the spirit of a sporty compact sedan when pushed hard around the circuit. Top speed is reported to be 160 kilometres an hour and its range is 160 km, although running flat out will likely knock about 20 km off that distance.
It can be recharged overnight using 110-volt household current.
It seems GM may not be alone with its plug-in EV. Preveiw Nissan's EV planned for 2010. Impressive range and power reported..
