Is DJ outrage glaring in its selectiveness?

It's nor surprising that the story of the beheading of a young woman who refused sex would receive much viewing and commentary. Notably, the story, in fact, led the week's ten.

Puzzling then, was the response to this story:

Perhaps we have problems with killings on a much larger scale - or is denial at play here?

    Neither for me.

North of the 49th, we have the 'luxury' of hearing about the true cost and these atrocities on a regular basis. Rather than comment and face yet more mud-slinging, I chose to vote the article w/o comment.

Gotcha. Thing is, if mud was always to be avoided, few but the mealymouthed would be heard.

True. In my case, I'd had enough of the 'commentary' over that 24 hr period. I felt the need to shower ... lol

Fact: People die in wars. Soldiers and civilians, always have, always will.

The difference between civilians dying in war, and dying in someones neighborhood is the glaring difference.

One is expected (by those who consider the consequences of war before beginning it,) for a child to have her head chopped off is not expected and can't be accounted for by logic and reason.
