UPDATE: 10.29.12 - It has been learned that Jimmy Kimmel is calling off the show Monday night.
Earlier:
The old adage that "The Show Must Go On" does not apply as Hurricane Sandy unleashes its power. Especially for New York- based shows.
Now, as of tonight (Oct. 28) Jimmy Kimmel and his staff, are still planning on doing his shows from New York. He usually tapes them in Hollywood, but these special shows were planned, so they want to continue.
Broadway has gone dark, and many TV shows have shutdown as well.
Here is a list of shows that will cease for the storm:
1. "The Good Wife"
2. "Blue Bloods,"
3. "The Carrie Diaries"
4. "Elementary"
5. "666 Park Avenue"
6. "The Following"
7. "Golden Boy"
8. "Gossip Girl"
9. "Person of Interest"
10. "The Secret Lives of Wives"
10.29.12: Now, more shows, not in New York have opted out of Monday. They include Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Others: "30 Rock," "Law & Order: SVU," "SMASH," "Infamous," "Do No Harm," "Nurse Jackie," "The Big C," "Maury"
and "Steve Wilkos".
As for Jimmy Kimmel, look for a plethora of guests this week as he celebrate the city. Some of those guests include Stewart, Colbert, Kelly Ripa and Chris Rock.
