Hanioti, Greece

I thought I should start with an incredible little place in Greece. I was there a couple of years ago (pfft, maybe about 7 years ago) but I still remember everything about it. We didn't actually live in this place but a smaller one called Polihrono, but we decided it would be great to rent a motorcycle and go around everywhere, so we ended up in Hanioti which had an amazing beach.

What makes it really special about this place is the people. People are wonderful, very nice, very open. Plus, there is greenery everywhere - beside the beach, in the town. Actually the whole town can be visited within like 4 hours (maybe a bit less or more) by walk. The water is crystal clear, while the beach is always, and I mean always, clean. So, if you're ever interested in going to small places, check out Hanioti. I give it 5/5 stars.

Beautiful. I've been to Athens and one of the Greek islands and it certainly was an experience.

This was a shot I got in Athens:

That's a beautiful shot. I always wanted to go there and in fact, we were close to it when we went to another smaller place called Paralia. I think the closest I got to experiencing ancient Greek tradition was when we went to Solun. I don't know if you have ever heard of the White Tower but it is incredible.

We went all the way up and the view was wonderful, but there was also so much history connected to it like the symbol of Greek sovereignty over Macedonia. Here's a picture of it:

I forgot to mention something else about Greece. They offer these attractions and since I was a kid back then, we went to Waterland. So the Greek cities are not only for adults, but also for children. Of course there was an additional pay for it, but it was all worth it. If I remember correctly, they had a wave pool, 4 different slides, then this slide where you get stuck and have to unstuck yourself but letting others behind you hit you forward and they also had tons of smaller pools for little ones as well as horse riding (It was too expensive for me to pay for it so I didn't end up riding any of them...lol). But here is a video and some small pics for parents if you want to take your kids somewhere fun - wait, for kids, if you want to see your parents when they're off the hook. Hey, my mother tried the white slide which was almost 90 degrees, so yeah.
