As we do every year, Digital Journal is
once again covering the annual
Toronto International Film Festival, running from Sept. 6 to 16, 2012.
Since we prefer to cover the films rather than the celebrity-spotting, expect many reviews in the coming two weeks. How to find film festival-related content? Simply type "tiff" into the Search bar and you'll get all our festival coverage so far. The first review should be posted online Friday morning.
What films are on our radar? We plan on reviewing the highly anticipated
The Master, starring Philip Seymour-Hoffman, and also the Salman Rushdie book-turned-film
Midnight's Children. We'll check out Robert Redford's
The Company You Keep, the James Franco-led
Spring Breakers, historical drama
Emperor, and Spike Lee's doc on Michael Jackson
Bad 25.
Foreign films of interest include
Pieta from South Korea and
The Holy Quartenity from the Czech Republic.
We also can't resist a bit of horror fare, so expect a review of Rob Zombie's
The Lords of Salem and the thriller
Seven Psychopaths.
Are you checking out TIFF this year? Or what film are you looking forward to seeing in 2012 and 2013?
