I have an acquaintance at my evening job who often lends me movies from her massive film collection. I also browse at the best video store in the city of Toronto, Bay Street Video. Sometimes, I check to see what YouTube has to offer.
Last month I viewed some pretty good movies, both foreign and domestic. If anyone who views this blog has a chance to watch them, do it! However, I did watch a couple of meh films.
Here is the list of films I watched in the month of March, some of them I have seen already, though. Hopefully I can watch some supoib pictures this month.
"Taxi!" - Starring James Cagney (Fun)
"Jimmy the Gent" - Starring James Cagney and Bette Davis (Fun)
"Elevators to the Gallows" - Starring Maurice Ronet and Jeanne Moreau (Supoib)
"The Cat and the Canary" - Starring Laura La Plante (Meh)
"Sunrise: A Song for Two Humans" - Starring George O'Brien (Supoib)
"North by Northwest" - Starring Cary Grant and James Mason (Thrilling)
"Sunset Boulevard" - Starring Gloria Swanson and William Holden (Hilarious because Norma Desmond is so much like my mother)
"The Great Dictator" - Starring Charlie Chaplin (Hilarious)
Since I viewed "Elevators to the Gallows" I'm starting to get into my French phase, yet again. I remember last year around this time I'd watch nothing but French films from the 1930s to the 1970s.
Have you seen any films between the 1920s and 1960s lately?
