About 80 University of Iowa students thought they were getting help with homework when they opened up their email; instead they saw their teacher assistant naked.
University of Iowa students did not get the answers they expected after a teachers assistant accidentally sent nude photos of herself with a male counterpart to her students, instead of the answers to math homework they were expecting to receive.
“Hi class, I attach the solutions for number 76 and 78 in this email. Best," the email read.
Students claim that the unintended email was sent to 80 students in the teacher assistant's math for business class. To make matters worse for the teacher assistant the photos are already making their way onto the Internet.
“This incident was inappropriate, and the university will look into it and take appropriate actions under our policies and procedures,” Tom Moore a spokesman for the University of Iowa told KCRG.
Reaction from the teacher assistant's students on Twitter ranged from students finding the entire incident to be humorous to others offering some practical advice about emailing.
“Someone should tell this math TA what folders are,” one person wrote. “Create one for nudes and one for math problems. Never ever mix the two up.”
The Associate Director of the Iowa University campus police department Dave Visin said that his office is not currently investigating whether or not the teacher assistant's account was hacked.
