On Monday, the embalmed body of Kim Jong II, still in his Khaki jumpsuit, was unveiled in North Korea on the anniversary of his death.
According to ABC, Kim Jong II was presented lying beneath a red blanket, and a spotlight was shining on his face.
According to Washington Post, throughout the hall wails could be heard as North Korean women were sobbing into the sashes of their dresses as they bowed before the body. The hall was only opened to select visitors, and that included the Associated Press, which is the first time since Kim Jong II's death.
According to Global Post, tens of thousands of North Koreans showed up to pay their respects.
Images of Kim Jong Un and his wife were also taken. Images showed them walking together at the mausoleum.
