World's oldest dad has second child at age 96

The world's oldest father has broken his own record. His first child was born two years ago, and with this month's arrival of his second child, the 96-year-old man is now the proud papa of two sons.

Ramajit Raghav, of India, and his wife, 52-year-old Shakuntala Devi, became parents to a healthy boy on Oct. 5. According to the The Times of India , the family is doing well and staying in a primary health center. The baby's name is Ranjeet. The Times of India reported 96 is the age listed for Raghav in government records. Raghav, a farmer, told the India Times he had been a bachelor all his life and practiced celibacy until meeting his wife 10 years ago. "After staying together, we decided to extend our family and aspired for two sons. With God's grace, our wish has been fulfilled," Raghav said. Raghav says he gets a full night sleep daily and also takes afternoon naps. His diet consists of cow's milk, fresh and green vegetables and chapattis, a popular flatbread in India. He told the media he has been a "strict vegetarian" his entire life. Nine MSN reported the couple have sex several times a night. "My neighbours are jealous and they keep asking me for my secret, but all I tell them is that it is God's will," the 96-year-old said. Raghav reportedly became the world's oldest father in 2010 after the couple's now 2-year-old son Vikramjeet was born. The previous record was set in 2007 by 90-year-old Nanu Ram Jogi, also of India; this was his 21st child. Unlike Raghav, he attributed his virility to eating lots of meat. Now that their second child has arrived, the couple does not plan to have any more children, citing financial concerns.
