Syrian rebels have shot down another Syrian military helicopter in Idlib today during clashes with government forces who are trying to take back control of the town of Maaret al-Numan.
Corroborating reports from Ahram Online and the Telegraph quote the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stating that, "In Maarhtat, on the outskirts of Maaret al-Numan, rebel fighters downed a helicopter being used in the fighting. According to initial reports, the helicopter crashed in nearby Bsida."
The Syrian Air Force has been targeting a blockade erected by the rebels on the highway in Idlib which is hindering the Syrian military from sending ground reinforcements to the northern city of Aleppo.
