Famous rapper turned reality TV star was arrested this morning after an alleged attack on a teenager with a knife at his Las Vegas home.
Vegas police confirmed that rapper Flavor Flav was booked in the early hours of Wednesday morning (Oct 17) after a report that he threatened to attack a teenager with a deadly weapon.
Arrested under his real name William J. Drayton Jr., it is understood Flav's fiancee called 911 during the altercation, which arose from a domestic argument.Officers stated that no-one was injured before the arrest.
US gossip site TMZ reports that the teenager in question is the son of Flavor's current fiancee and a heated argument with both the teenager and his mother had ensued before events turned to violence.
The 53 year old rapper was arrested at around 03:30 PDT and booked on the felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence.
USA Today reports that he is being held on a $23,000 bail bond.
The rapper made his name in the late 80s as the wacky clock-wearing MC of political rap outfit Public Enemy and has since reinvented himself as a reality TV star appearing in the Surreal Life, Celebrity Wife Swap and his own series Flavor of Love.
Flavor Flav is scheduled to appear at court in Las Vegas on Thursday morning.
