The film adaptation of 'The Great Gatsby' now has rumored superstar singer/songwriters attached to the project. Both Lady Gaga and Prince were said to be writing songs for it by a cast member of the Baz Luhrmann film.
"They have some new music that's going to be added to the film," actress Adelaide
Clemens said this weekend. "Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Brothers are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door."
She added "I don't know if I'm allowed to say that."
Clemens ('Vampire', 'Parade's End', 'Rectify') was on a press junket for another new film, 'Silent Hill, Revelation 3D' when she made the
comments to the magazine 'Playlist'. She'll be playing Catherine in the film, which will likely be released in the spring.
The Great Gatsby: Five Films
This adaptation of the iconic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel set in the 20's on Long Island and dealing with the bored and rich, will be the fourth made for the big screen, the first coming in 1926. The film was also made into a TV movie starring Mira Sorvino in 2000. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the upcoming Luhrmann version.
There's been no confirmation from either Lady Gaga or Prince.
