Gibbs Sports says that their new Quadski, which is able to drive both in the water and on land, will be on sale before this year is over.
According to
Washington Post, the Quadski is an all-terrain vehicle that is equipped with for wheels that can retract when it goes into the water. The vehicle will be able to go up to 45 mph both on land and in the water.
According to
CBS, the Quadski will cost around $40,000 and it will be sold at water sports dealerships located throughout Boston, Florida, New York, Texas, Florida and the Great Lakes.
According to
Pittsburgh Post, the vehicle is equipped with a 175-horsepower 1.3-liter 4-cylinder, which Gibbs purchases from BMW. The engine is similar to the engine that is found in the BMW K1300S HP motorcycle.
According to
Oregon Live, Gibbs is hoping to sell the vehicle worldwide by 2014.
Gibbs is located in Michigan, and has spent around 16 years developing the technology that is found in the Quadski.
