Detroit
-
The leaves are changing and the calendar has turned. It's autumn in Detroit. However, it hasn't been feeling like it with temperatures dipping into the 30-degree range at night.
Detroit had a high temperature of 54 degrees Fahrenheit today ― 10 degrees below average for this time of year. And imagine, less than a week ago, the temperature reached the mid- to upper-70s. Since then, it has steadied to the mid-50s during the day.
Overnight, however, temperatures have reached the low 30-degree range.
The 10-day forecast
shows more odd temperatures. Sunny and 60 degrees; and rainy and 70 degrees. The weather seems to be very indecisive as to weather or not it wants summer, winter or
autumn temperatures.
While winter is fast approaching, the leaves haven't yet fallen. Detroit, and the Wayne State University campus, is bursting with yellow and orange trees, with a hint of green still in the mix. The photos below were taken on the Wayne State campus and near it.
