All right so this story is strictly for Justin Bieber fans, for they and they only are likely to feel sympathy for the popstar. The rest of you gone now? Okay, here's the gist of it, fans: the Biebs was forced to swim with the sharks.
For a video, that is.
Bieber, who professes to be extremely afraid of sharks, was recently on a shoot directed by Jon Chu, who directed his bio pic 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.' The video required him for a part of it to be underwater with sharks; it was made for his 'Believe' tour, currently
playing dates in California.
The footage saw the Canadian singer diving into water filled with bonnethead and zebra sharks and though they are not dangerous, the prospect of doing so had him pretty nervous. "I'm terrified of sharks," Bieber
told ET. "I was so scared. I hate sharks. It took like an hour for me to even jump in the water."
Justin Bieber and Aqualillies
There is a point in which even you fans, given most of you are female, might lose some of your sympathy for Bieber's ordeal. That's when you learn what got him to feel more relaxed about it all - swimming with a bunch of girls. For in the water with Bieber was a team of female synchronized swimmers called the Aqualillies.
"Being with the ladies under there kind of made it a lot better," said Bieber.
