High speed chase suspect apparently suicides: Graphic video

A high speed chase with helicopter pursuit appears to have ended near Salome, Arizona. The suspect reached speeds of 110 mph.

A suspect carjacked a red Dodge Caliber and also fired shots at police near 43rd Ave. and Roosevelt St. in West Phoenix.
The suspect engaged in a high speed pursuit by Police authorities near Phoenix, Arizona was on camera for several minutes. This reporter was watching the live video feed from that chase when the suspect pulled off the paved road, the chase had lasted more than an hour.
The suspect got out of the car, briefly leaned back into the car, and then turned away from the vehicle and ran away while carrying an object in his right hand.
Running down the dirt road the suspect stumbled and fell once, ran a bit further, and ran into some bushes alongside the dirt road.
The suspect then appeared to pull the slide back on a semi-auto pistol, placed the pistol against the right side of his head. He apparently pulled the trigger and then slumped to the ground just before 12:30 PST.
No further details are available yet, but police are on the scene. This story was reported at MyFox Phoenix.
