A YouTube video has gone viral showing what happens when a member of the animal kingdom learns the hard way about how effectively water can channel electricity.
The video is unlikely to change the world or make the front page of the mainstream media, but may provide some amusement.
According to Viral Viral Videos, although the video was first posted last September, it has started to trend this August.
In the past three weeks the video has been copied by thirteen other YouTube users.
The breed of dog featured in the video is thought to be a Boxer.
After its experience the bemused looking dog quickly joins its owner.
At the time of writing, the YouTube video has had 1,053,980 views. The uploader of the video is magnum33563, aged fifty-one, from the United States.
Comments on the video included “That’s one way to neuter your dog” and “lol poor puppy xD funny but a little sad.”
The dog is not believed to have suffered any injury during the making of the video.
