Everyone knows Tom Hanks is a great actor and a nice guy. He's always stopping to pose for photos with fans and sign their autographs. Now a couple of photos of Hanks and a fan, pretending to be drunk, have made him a star on the Internet.
After a
post by groucho22 on Reddit went up on August 26 saying, "My friend met Tom Hanks, stole his glasses and pretended to be wasted," the photo page took off. In just two weeks, the photos have received more than 15 million views. The Reddit post has also received more than a thousand comments.

You can probably thank celebrity websites like
eonline and
usmagazine, that wrote about the pics a day or two later, for drawing attention to the page.
The
Imgur gallery features two photos of a straight faced Hanks posing next to the "wasted" fan at a restaurant, but a third photo may have been removed. It is posted on a few other sites like
Allie is wired showing Hanks pointing at the guy and laughing.
It's not known who the fan is or where the photo was taken and so far no comment from Hanks about it, but the photos have won him a whole new legion of fans online.
