A man in China thought it would be fun to mail himself to his girlfriend for a birthday surprise. Trouble is the package got lost in transit and by the time she opened it up, it was almost too late, the guy had nearly suffocated.
The Sun reports, Hu Seng, from southern China, wanted to give his girlfriend a birthday surprise she would never forget. So he got a big box, climbed inside and had it shipped to her.
What he didn't realize is that he would need some air holes. So when the gift finally arrived, three hours late, his girlfriend, Li Wang, unwrapped the big package to find her boyfriend passed out inside... he'd nearly suffocated... SURPRISE!
He tells The Sun, “I didn’t realise it would take so long.” "I tried to make a hole in the cardboard but it was too thick and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise by shouting.”
Bystanders who were in on the surprise and taking photos of the unveiling, had to quickly call the paramedics.
Gawker reports the courier company saying if they knew it was a person inside the box, they wouldn't have accepted the job.
