California Right to Know has now produced a hard-hitting TV advert to make people aware of their cause - the labeling of products containing genetically modified ingredients.
According to the media, the
CA Right to Know battle for the labeling of GMO products is the "Davids" against "Goliaths", with the latter being Monsanto and Dow Chemical.
With opponents to the labeling of GMOs injecting
huge amounts of money into opposing Proposition 37, CA Right to Know are asking for your help in
fighting their cause, the right to know what is in our food.
Last week, giant food and chemical companies donated $25 million to defeat your right to know what's in your food, including $4.2 million from Monsanto and $1.2 from Dow Chemical.
Using false corporate health claims from the past, which say that cigarettes were safe, DDT was safe and that even Agent Orange was safe, the TV advert they have produced is a hard-hitting one.
Two of the major donors against Prop 37 are Monsanto and DuPont, the two corporations most responsible for both Agent Orange and DDT.
Americans have been denied their basic right to know what is in their food for the last 20 years. On November 6th, this will change, as Californians have the chance to vote Yes on 37, to label genetically engineered foods.
