This video showing a humpback whale calf breaching just a few yards away from a fishing charter off the coast of Tofino, Vancouver Island may be the best whale-watching video you've ever seen.
According to Most Watched Today, passengers on the charter were fishing for salmon and halibut off the shores of Vancouver Island near Tofino, British Columbia when the humpback swam nearby. Thankfully, a passenger was able to keep his cool and capture the breaching that happened only a few yards from the boat.
The video caption, according to Bing, reads: "During one of our salmon and halibut fishing charters off the coast of Tofino, this whale breached high and fast right towards our boat. Thankfully this incredible Vancouver Island moment was captured on video for all of us to see."
MSN Now comments: "The next time someone complains about going on a whale-watching trip and not seeing anything, send them this video link as a consolation — it’s hard to get closer to the action than this video takes you."
The video has been seen more than 700,000 times
