Nudist camp in Florida seeks to attract nudists in 18-30 range

Somehow it does not seem a surprise that a nudist colony, this one in Florida, would hold a special weekend nudist event aimed at attracting younger nudists. The Sunsport Gardens nudist resort has been vying for the 18-30 year-old nudist for years now.

In fact the event is billed as the 'Florida Young Naturist's Fourth Annual End of Summer Naked Bash', reflecting the years the nudist resort has put into trying to find young people to join up with them. It's taking place this weekend on a 40-acre park in Loxahatchee, Florida. "Young people don't want to go to bingo night or play shuffleboard in the nude." Robbe White, the founder of the Florida Young Naturists, told the Florida Sun-Sentinel. "There's a lot of desire for resorts to attract young people, but they don't do anything to attract them." This one does, with events far from bingo and shuffleboard, events such as drum circles, hot tubs, swimming and even rock concerts. There are no stats available, but it seems likely that having more young nudists around might lead to more older nudists joining, too.
