Diners at a California Denny's were treated to a free meal after an anonymous customer decided to voluntarily pay for their tab.
Carol Kronberger, a waitress, said that diners thought it was a joke, according to
Yahoo. Kronberger went onto say that the woman wanted to remain anonymous and that she didn't want people to know she paid.
Kronberger also said that everybody had a smile on their face because the waitstaff went to every single table and told them that their meals were all paid for thanks to some young lady.
According to
CBS, the woman ended up paying around $300 for the tab, and she left a $40 tip. There were around 60 guests who were dining at the Denny's on Monday.
According to
Gawker, the woman was described as being a mother in her mid-30s with two young children.
The woman did not say why she was being so generous, but the manager, Seto Avakian, said that she was very humble and very nice.
