Wallpaper will soon not just be used for decorating purposes. In time, it will also be a way of securing your privacy even more.
As reported by CNN News, with the help of Centre Technique du Papier, a group of researchers from France’s Institut Polytechnique de Grenable, developed a product called metapaper. The product was primarily developed to block Wi-Fi signals, allowing for extra security for not only residential users but for companies as well. The high-tech paper allows other useful frequencies through such as emergency and FM radio and can be covered up by any ordinary wallpaper of your choosing.
The new Wi-Fi blocking paper is not yet available to the open public and an exact estimate of cost has not yet been released. However, there is said to be extra benefits to this product when it does become available, as it advertises as a healthy alternative to reduce exposure to electromagnetic waves that can have harmful health effects to the average person.
