John Goodman is the latest to throw his hat in the video ring when it comes to the Chick-fil-A controversy. Using his comic chops to play Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame, Goodman's video appears on the site Funny or Die.
On Wednesday the world tuned in for “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.” All across the United States folks who oppose gay marriage went to get their taste on for some Chick-Fil-A sandwiches.
In Goodman's new video Colonel Sanders is gunning for those who are boycotting the KFC competitor with Goodman saying, “Gay or not, you’re all just a bunch of big old money mouths walking around talking and eating.”
Chances are though if the Colonel was still around he would be siding with Chick-Fil-A. Sanders was a conservative evangelical, which would have put him closer to the thinking of Dan Cathy, founder of Chick-Fil-A, than to the comic Goodman's views.
