London - An older spectator can be seen making what looks like a Nazi-style salute to the German Olympic team at the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
In the video, the spectator, who was possibly a German official, can be seen making what looks like a Nazi salute.
However, on closer analysis, it should be noted that he is using his left arm and not the right arm, which the ‘Sieg Heil!’ Nazi salute is made with. It is likely that he was just waving to the team in a rather stiff manner.
The man and what may be his wife are standing in front of where the London Mayor, Boris Johnson and the Duchess of Cornwall were sitting.
They can be seen talking to one another and laughing – possibly at the man’s actions.
The video has gone viral and has had over 70,000 views.
Whatever you do though – don’t mention the war!
