Ningbo - CCTV footage caught scenes of a woman narrowly escaping being crushed by a truck in Ningbo, eastern Zhejiang province in China.
The above CCTV footage was shown on state television in China today, and shows the accident from several angles.
The woman is crossing a busy road in the city's Beilun district when a truck, speeding through the intersection before the light turns red, smashes into her scooter. While her scooter was completely destroyed, the woman survived the incident.
Police reported on state television that the woman was to blame, as she was crossing on a red light. However, they also blame the driver of the truck, as he accelerated through the intersection from the other direction, to avoid the coming red light.
