Brooklyn - A three-year-old boy who was with his mother was mugged by thugs. The toddler was sitting in his stroller when the incident occurred.
The thug and his accomplice stole a $400 gold chain from the boy's neck. The toddler was being pushed in his stroller by his mom when the crooks approached them.
According to New York Post, the two men attacked the toddler right in the lobby of his family's home, located at Malcolm X Boulevard. The attack took place around 11:45 p.m. after the men followed the toddler, his teenage brother and his mother to their home from a laundromat.
According to the Daily Mail, police say that the crooks were eye-balling the boy and his family while they were doing laundry.
When the family got to their apartment building the thieves followed them inside and kicked in the door after the toddler's mother locked it.
A brief skirmish took place and the mother fought to get the thieves away from her son. She feared that her boy would have been kidnapped. Neighbors heard the mother's screams and scared off the attackers.
Nobody was hurt during the incident but the thieves did get away with the chain. Police have no suspects in custody and they believe that the attackers are around 16 or 17 years old.
