Scottsdale - An Arizona man, 45-year-old John Brigham of Scottsdale, stripped down to only a pair of socks and ran amok causing multiple car crashes and injuring seven people.
ABC 15 reports the man crashed his car at around 1:30 p.m. Three people were injured in the crash that occurred at Hayden and Via De Ventura. According to witnesses, the man crashed into a Porsche and the Porsche crashed into another vehicle. The Porsche driver was seriously injured when he was thrown out of the car.
According to ABC 15, after the crash, the man got out of his car, stripped naked and jumped on top of a car. He began screaming, singing and chanting triumphantly.
Then, he ran to a Toyota Prius, pulled a woman from out of the car and drove off very fast.
He crashed the Toyota Prius at Shea Boulevard, near 90th St, Scottsdale. The crash involved four other cars. A man and a pregnant woman were injured in the crash. Daily Mail reports that the pregnant woman had two broken legs. The Prius tumbled several times in the crash and the man was forcefully ejected through the windscreen. He got up immediately and ran to two SUV's and tried to carjack them, but the police arrived and arrested him.
NY Daily News reports that a woman in a pick-up truck, who was involved in the second crash, said: "He got out naked, running all over the place, trying to get into other people's cars."
According to The Inqisiitr, a total of about 7 people were injured during the rampage.
Daily Mail reports that Mark Clark, spokesman for Scottsdale police, said the man was probably on drugs.
The police took him to a nearby hospital where he is being checked for drug use or mental issues. According to Clark: "The violence and the damage that was caused indicates that it was pretty high speeds involved. We are trying to work out what was going on with this man."
