On Monday, French police said that a couple are being held for questioning about the killing and dismemberment of another couple.
Police said the couple are suspected of killing another couple and then dumping their headless torsos in a forest on the edge of Paris.
According to France24, police describe the couple as of Asian origin. They were detained over the past weekend after they decided to turn themselves in. This came after the torso of a woman was discovered on Friday, according to police.
The couple turned themselves in on Saturday, according to Reuters, then led police to a second headless torso.
According to GlobalPost, the couple admitted that they killed the couple. They said that the dead couple's child died while in their care, and that is what triggered a dispute that led to the killing.
A source said that the couple said that the child's death was an accident. They also allegedly tried to conceal the child's death by putting the body in a trash bag. The couple then went back to France because they felt remorse. Their lawyer advised them to turn themselves over to police.
