Obama forgets to pay restaurant bill after Father's Day lunch

Washington - President Obama forgot to pay for his meal at Kenny's BBQ on Capitol Hill Wednesday. He ate a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans, rice and cornbread, and walked out with his entourage leaving his $55.58 bill unpaid.

According to Daily Caller, the meal ironically launched "Fatherhood Buzz," a campaign for responsible fatherhood. The Blaze reports he ate at the restaurant with two active duty service men and two local barbers as part of celebration of Father's Day. ABC News reports that before the end of the day, the oversight in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Presidential entourage was brought to the attention of the White House, and the bill was promptly settled. According to Mediaite, Obama’s companions might have thought that the President would pay the bill. But Obama's opponents do not think that a man with a busy schedule and lots of things on his mind as the President of the United States of America should be excused for forgetting such mundane things as paying bills after lunch. CivilMan43, evidently not a fan of Obama, passes harsh judgment on the president on Mediaite: "Here are soldiers who probably are lucky to have six bucks in their pocket. And this pathetic socialist doesn’t have the decency to share his wealth and pick up the tab? I guess that means you can forget about a tip too... " BoSplosion comments cynically on Daily Caller: "The Redistributor in Chief doesn't really believe in personal responsibility. The White House having to clean up his lunch tab mess is just a metaphor for how he views the country." Kimberly Michelle Beitel comments on Politico: "I'm sure Obama will blame President Bush for this too." Daily Caller reports it was unknown whether Obama left a tip.
