Starting today 150 of the world's elite are meeting just outside Washington. Will they decide who to back as the next U.S. President?
The agenda of the meeting is not available to the public, but much speculation is going around as to what the global elite will be discussing.
RT interviewed Alex Jones of Prison Planet earlier this month.
The interviewer asked Jones: “Should the elite get behind Mitt Romney or Barack Obama?” asking if this would likely be one of the topics discussed at the conference.
Jones replied: “Both men are bought and paid for by the same financial interests, and so the discussion will be which candidate can basically con the American people to lay down the tyranny for another four years.”
Many people are wondering if the Bilderberg Conference is a place that decides the leaders in this world and many believe it is. Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush both apparently attended Bilderberg conferences in the years prior to election as President.
Prior to becoming Prime Minister of England in 1997, Tony Blair was an attendee at the 1993 Bilderberg conference.
Many believe that the 2004 conference decided 2008's U.S. presidential election and rumors suggested that attending members backed Barack Obama for his future nomination at that year's event.
Jones told RT, “For an entire day, the media in Virginia and in DC saying, ‘Where’s Obama? Where’s Obama?’ And we were there saying he’s inside, the secret service is there.”
This year's conference will be held at the Chantilly, Virginia Westfield Marriott, the same location as the 2004 conference. Jones will be there to watch everything he can from the grounds of the hotel. Luke Rudkowski, the citizen journalist from We are Change, who recently livestreamed the protests in Chicago will also be there.
Jones had a reservation at the hotel, but says that it was revoked and he was told that he is banned. Shortly afterwards, Jones' Prison Planet news website revealed that “all guests had been kicked out of the hotel, and offered one night’s accommodation at the Residence Inn in Chantilly (also Marriott owned).”
“Policy is being set there and this is one of the most elite meetings out there,” Jones told RT. That, many fear, is precisely why those close to the conference don’t want outsiders to have an inside scoop.
Jones stated further that it was likely that a decision would be made to select a vice presidential nominee to run alongside their chosen candidate. He feels that Mitt Romney would be the candidate of choice for the top job. Al Kamen of the Washington Post feels that a likely candidate for the lesser position would be Senator Marco Rubio.
Prison Planet is reported unprecedented security at the Chantilly hotel with nests of machine guns springing up. With a record-breaking number of protesters likely to turn up, including Occupy Bilderberg, they are taking no chances it seems.
Jones overheard discussions between members of Bilderberg security on the sophisticated surveillance equipment using satellites that will be used to tap into phones of prominent activists and media personalities set to cover the event.
The London Guardian journalist, Charlie Skelton has reported that the organizers of the conference were using iPhones to film guests arriving at the hotel for brunch. Background checks are being run on journalists and well as regular guests at the hotel.
According to Prison Planet, security at Bilderberg is apparently planning to announce a fake bomb threat in order to widen the exclusion perimeter around the hotel to keep journalists and protesters at bay. Jones says that should they decide to proceed with this threat, it will happen either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Apparently this tactic was also employed successfully at last year's Bilderberg conference in St. Moritz, Switzerland to keep protesters away from the building.
Prison Planet is hoping to get hold of the full agenda of the conference. One topic of discussion already confirmed to be up for debate will be ecological issues and Agenda 21 – part of Bilderberg’s efforts to usher in a post-industrial revolution.
