The Sith have returned. A man, dressed up as Darth Vader, entered an Ohio bank on May 23 and robbed the Huntington Bank branch, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man presumably left his light saber at home. Instead, he robbed the bank while wielding a handgun, reports The Smoking Gun.
Currently, the FBI and Toledo Police are seeking the masked robber, who appears to have left his faithful stormtroopers behind and acted alone.
According to Northwest Ohio, the robbery occurred about 3 p.m., and after robbing the bank, he fled the scene on a dark-colored BMX bike.
"Authorities describe the man as black, about 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing around 170 pounds, and approximately 20 to 25 years of age," Northwest Ohio reported. Apparently, he didn't don Darth Vader's traditional cape, but was dressed in all black, and carrying a black backpack.
ABC News reported FBI Special Agent Stephen Anthony said the gun was a semi-automatic pistol.
Fortunately, no injuries occurred during this bank robbery.
This isn't the first time 'Darth Vader' robbed a bank. In July 2010 a man donning a Darth Vader helmet and mask robbed a Long Island bank.
