Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga play aliens in Men in Black III

Somehow this entertainment news item seems strange in that it includes Canadian pop star Justin Bieber but not strange in that it includes America's Fame Monster, Lady Gaga. The news is that they're both going to play an alien in 'Men in Black III'.

Many seem to find Lady Gaga to be alien-like already, hence it not seeming so odd that she's gonna be up their on the big screen playing a creature from another planet. Bieber actually played an alien, or a space guy of some kind, in a TV commercial during the Super Bowl - with another alien-like person, Ozzy Osbourne - so perhaps director Barry Sonnenfeld casting him shouldn't seem stranger, either. Director Sonnenfeld: Gaga, Burton and Bieber Sonnenfeld, in an interview with reporters recently, confirmed the two pop stars are in the flick. "In this (third MIB film) there are a few people that you'll see up on the surveillance board, including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let's see who else... Justin Bieber," Sonnenfeld said. "The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won't be like 'Who's that guy?' in 10 years." In the U.S. and Canada, the film will be released on May 25. Men in Black III stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. The first Men in Black was a smash hit in 1997, the second, 2002's 'Men in Black II, was a bit of a flop.
