Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels sign on to 'Dumb and Dumber' sequel

A sequel to the 1994 hit "Dumb and Dumber" is in the works. The idiotic comedy starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is set to release some time in 2013.

The original “Dumb and Dumber” involved two men who lacked common sense. Harry and Lloyd discovered a suitcase full of money and attempted to return it to the attractive woman who left it at the airport. During their eventful journey to return the suitcase, they spent all of the money; returning a suitcase full of “I-O-Us.” In 2003, a prequel was created dubbed "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" but director Peter Farrelly said the new sequel will be something very different than the 2003 release. Farrelly said he wasn't involved in the creation of Dumb and Dumberer. He told comingsoon.net, "That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, 'We've got to do this thing again.' He had just watched 'Dumb and Dumber' and he said, 'This is the perfect sequel. Let's do it.'” Movie Director Peter Farrelly confirmed they will begin filming "Dumb and Dumber 2" beginning in September 2012. Both star actors from the original movie will continue their roles as Harry in Lloyd in the sequel.
