The microblogging service, Twitter, updated their respective mobile apps for the iPhone and Android platform.
Both interfaces get functional as well as cosmetic changes.
As announced on Twitter’s blog, the company made advancements to the Android and iPhone mobile platforms respectively to bring to users a series of high-demand features. The mobile apps come revamped with a new design and changes from its predecessor.
The Twitter for Android now has been upgraded and optimized to work on devices that use the latest version of the Android Operating System (OS) for phones, tablets and more. Furthermore, these changes include the Kindle Fire, available on the Amazon Appstore, the Barnes & Noble NOOK Color and NOOK Tablet.

The iPhone gets numerous cosmetic changes when users Copy and Paste, Link love and Direct Messages being able to customize font size Settings.
Twitter Mobile iPhone
Copy and paste: The first feature changed on Apple’s iPhone is allowing users to copy and paste the text contained in Tweets and user profiles by pressing down on the selection and copying it.
Link Love: The feature “share” gives the user the ability to copy or to email the link to from an existing tweet on their timeline. Also a convenient feature for those who run out of time reading content on Twitter can choose to read it later (selection “Read Later Service”, which can be change under Settings>Advanced.

Direct messages: The microblogging service on its blog indicated a cosmetic design change with the ability to mark all messages received as read.
Identical features included in this update for Android and iPhone
Swipe shortcut: Very popular features from the early days of Apple’s iPhone, both devices have the swipe shortcut. With this feature a tweet-once it’s swiped the screen- users can reply, favorite, share it or retweet without departing the Twitter timeline.
Find friends: Twitter offers a confirmation alert when you “Find friends” and update a contacts’ phone number or email address saved on your very own directory the service will allow you to find your friends on Twitter if they have opted to be discoverable in the first place (phone or email).
